MechaCon 2318 Cosplay Meetup Registry

COSPLAYERS! We have another way for you to make your MechaCon EVEN MORE AWESOME! Have you ever gone to a convention and found out about a cosplay gathering after it was too late? Or maybe you want to host a cosplay meetup for your favorite fandom, but you are not sure how to start? We have the answer for you!

We here at Louisiana Cosplayers have organized a MechaCon Meetup Registry! To register your event and make it an Official MechaCon Cosplay Meetup, follow the form below! You’ll need just a few things: Host name, Facebook Event page, location, and start time. A complete list of these meetups will be viewable to all MechaCon attendees so other cosplayers can join in the fun together! Be sure to register early to reserve your event time at the top or bottom of the grand staircase. This form will close on July 20th, 2018.

SEW EASY: AN INTRO TO MACHINE SEWING

This introductory level panel will cover the basics of sewing with machines and the different methods you can use to enhance your sewing technique. This panel covers: threading, basic sewing, and troubleshooting.

Don’t end up on the last minute squad! With a little planning, cosplay can be easier to handle and you can be ready for the con in plenty of time. Join us for an informative panel on how you can better plan your cosplays and manage your time.

FOAMSMITHING: BASICS OF FOAM-BASED PROPS
Foam is one of the most versatile materials you can use to make your cosplay props. This panel will cover how to make prop bases, how to shape foam, and which adhesives and finishings you can use to take your work to the next level.

Spring Meetup 2018

Hop on over to most egg-cellent meetup of the spring season! Join us at Girard Park this spring for some outdoor fun and a hunt for the golden egg! Hunt for Easter eggs, play a few games, and even enter for a chance to win tickets to CyPhaCon (April 6-8, 2018 in Lake Charles)!
